The G650 is the first plane to feature the enhanced PlaneView II system. This system is a First person camera that allows pilots to see the field of view ahead of them in night vision, infrared, and thermal imaging. A practical explanation of this is the ability of a pilot to see a bird at night or the runway in low visibility. This allows greater safety for both the passengers and the crew. Gulfstream, with avionics powered by Honeywell, are looking to make avian accidents a thing of the past. Aircraft controls are completely fly-by-wire. The construction is metal for the fuselage and composite materials for the empennage, winglet and engine cowling.
