Developed as a longer range version of the -800 series model, the BAe 850xp has a 33 inch fuselage stretch accommodating a larger ventral fuel holding nearly 200 additional gallons. Also noteworthy is that the 850xp model marks the first time a Pratt & Whitney engine was selected to power a Hawker. The PW305 engine, while being nearly 10% more fuel efficient that the Hawker -800's Garrett engines, provides the BAe 850xp model with nearly 850xp pounds more thrust (per engine). This aircraft can be RVSM certified when service bulletin SB-34-3216 is complied with. Hawker A models were originally manufactured for customers in North America.
